Vanya and Sonia, named by their community theater-loving parents after Chekhov characters, have lived their entire lives in the family’s farmhouse in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.

They stayed home for years to care for their aging parents while their famous sister Masha has been traveling the world acting in sub-par quality action movies.  Vanya and Sonia, feeling trapped and resentful in the family home, await the visit of their movie-star sister who arrives with her boy-toy actor boyfriend Spike.

Meanwhile, the soothsayer and cleaning woman, Cassandra, warns them of terrible events to happen in the near future—events which do come true as Masha sweeps in with  plans of her own and she will see them fulfilled.

The quiet household is thrown into a tumult as issues of sibling rivalry, love, lust and forgotten dreams erupt at every twist of the plot. It’s a raucous American comedy at its finest!
